A l’occasion de ses 30 ans, la maison Dorcel commande un sondage à l’IFOP et révèle ainsi des chiffres évocateurs sur la place actuelle du porno dans la société….Le magazine adulte  n°1 en Europe Hot Video relance la sulfureuse cérémonie des Hot  D’Or le 20 Octobre à Paris et qui connaît un succès inespéré auprès de la presse généraliste…le Journal du Hard fête ses 18 ans d’existence sur Canal Plus, et Katsuni, star du X internationale , après avoir battu les records d’audience lors de l’émission « On est n’est pas couché « avec Laurent Ruquier, fait les honneurs du magazine de mode masculin très chic, L’Optimum, en posant nue …en converture ! …Cette fin 2009 confirme sans conteste la place du X en France , non plus  uniquement comme industrie marginale, mais véritablement comme une économie florissante et un phénomène culturel.
